Förderung von Empathie in der Gamedesignpraxis: Entwurf einer Schnittstelle von Gamedesignexpertise und Fachexpertise für (Serious) Games mit dem Ziel einer höheren Vergleichbarkeit

Abstract

In dieser Veröffentlichung werden unterschiedliche Definitionsansätze der Empathie vorgestellt und in eine für das Gamedesign operationalisierbare Definition überführt. Fokusfelder werden als praxisorientiertes Konzept vorgestellt, um zum einen eine Schnittstelle von Fachexpertise und Gamedesignexpertise anzubieten und zum anderen eine höhere Vergleichbarkeit von Empathie fördernden Spielen zu ermöglichen, indem die Gamedesignziele verengt werden. Nur über diese verbesserte Vergleichbarkeit kann die Effektivität der eingesetzten Spielelemente und Spielmechaniken im Kontext der jeweiligen Gamedesignziele sinnvoll wissenschaftlich erforscht werden.
