Leistungskriterien und Reputationsmechanismen der Wissenschaft: Publikationsquantität und Drittmittelakquise oder Erkenntnisqualität?

Abstract

Mit diesem Artikel wird das Ziel verfolgt, Kriterien in Form von Publikationsquantität und Drittmittelakquise als hochschulinterne Reputationsmechanismen zu "enthüllen", zu "entschleiern" und dem gegenüber auf Ansprüche der Wissenschaft hinzuweisen. Außerdem wird Bezug genommen auf die Veranstaltungsreihe "drinnen und draußen" der Münchener Universitätsgesellschaft zum Thema "Wissenschaft unter Druck" am 6. Dezember 2017, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU). In einer zu dieser Reihe gehörenden Podiumsdiskussion wurde wissenschaftliches und hochschulinternes Arbeiten problematisiert, das an Aktualität nicht verloren hat. Auszüge der Luhmannschen Systemtheorie dienen folgend dazu, diese Problematisierung theoretisch zu reformulieren zwecks Reflektion von Erkenntnispraktiken und auch Reflektion von An- und Aberkennungsmechanismen in Wissenschafts- und Hochschulsystem
