Zu den verschiedenen Methoden bei der Berechnung des Weltbruttoinlandsprodukts

Abstract

Die Ermittlung der Zuwachsrate des globalen Bruttoinlandsprodukts erfolgt als Summe der Expansionsbeiträge der einzelnen Länder. Dies erfordert, den Anteil des jeweiligen Landes an der Weltproduktion zu berechnen. Um die Weltproduktion zu ermitteln, müssen die nationalen Bruttoinlandsprodukte aggregiert werden. Da diese in der Regel in heimischer Währung berichtet werden, sind sie in eine gemeinsame Währung, üblicherweise den US-Dollar, umzurechnen. Hierzu werden meist entweder Marktwechselkurse verwendet oder Wechselkurse, die die unterschiedliche Kaufkraft des Geldes in den verschiedenen Ländern berücksichtigen (Wechselkurse auf der Basis von Kaufkraftparitäten).
