Die Auswirkungen der Innovationstätigkeit von KMU in Krisenzeiten auf ihre wirtschaftliche Entwicklung

Abstract

Diese Studie untersucht, ob Unternehmen, die während der Pandemie innovativ waren, besser durch die Krise gekommen sind als nicht-innovative Unternehmen und ob krisenbedingte Anpassungen dauerhaft sind oder mit dem Abklingen der Pandemie wieder zurückgenommen werden. Es zeigt sich, dass die Innovationsaktivitäten während der Corona-Pandemie deutlich zugenommen haben. Reagierten Unternehmen bereits im Jahr 2020 frühzeitig mit Innovationen auf die Krise, stehen sie im Jahr 2022 wirtschaftlich besser dar. Dabei sind es vor allem die von der Pandemie stark betroffen Unternehmen, die mit einer höheren Wahrscheinlichkeit als weniger betroffene Unternehmen Innovationen generiert haben.
