"Übergang wohin?": Verbleibsstudie zum schulischen Übergangssystem in Bremen

Abstract

Viele Jugendliche münden nach der Schule statt in Ausbildung zunächst in das Übergangssystem ein, dessen Bildungsangebote die Ausbildungsreife fördern und die schnelle Integration in eine Berufsausbildung sicherstellen sollen. Der Forschungsbericht untersucht exemplarisch für die Stadt Bremen die unterschiedlichen Übergangsmuster nach Abschluss von Bildungsgängen im schulischen Übergangssystem und inwiefern sie die von den Jugendlichen angestrebten Ziele und Bedarfe adressieren konnten. Im Mittelpunkt stehen ehemalige Schüler:innen, die bereits in der Vorgängerstudie "Schulisches Übergangssystem in Bremen" (2021) bei ihrem Eintritt in die Übergangsbildungsgänge interviewt wurden. Die erneute Befragung etwa vier bis fünf Monate nach Beendigung der Bildungsgänge bietet Einblicke in ihre soziale und berufliche Integration. Dabei wird deutlich, dass allein der Blick auf die Zahl der aufgenommenen Ausbildungen keinen Aufschluss darüber gibt, ob der Übergang für die Jugendlichen abgeschlossen ist. Sie halten meist an ihren ursprünglichen Zielen fest und entwickeln Strategien, um auf "Umwegen" doch noch dorthin zu gelangen. Die Untersuchung zeigt, dass mehr Bedarfsorientierung und Passgenauigkeit sowie ein stärkeres Gewicht auf die Möglichkeiten zum Erreichen eines höherwertigen Schulabschluss nötig sind, um die Realisierung der Qualifizierungswünsche der Jugendlichen auf direktem Weg zu ermöglichen, anstatt deren (mangelnde) Qualifikation zum zentralen Selektionsinstrument zu machen.
