Ageing in a foreign land: Gesundheit und Pflege älterer Menschen mit türkischer Zuwanderungsgeschichte

Abstract

15,8 Prozent aller Migranten haben eine türkische Zuwanderungsgeschichte. Es lässt sich nur ein unzureichender Informationsstand in Bezug auf gesundheitliche Themen (gesunde Ernährung, Prävention und Pflege) feststellen. Da ein großer Teil ursprünglich nach dem Erwerbsleben in die Türkei zurückkehren wollte, hat man sich mit dem Altwerden in Deutschland bislang wenig auseinander gesetzt. Die Altersversorgung durch die Kinder und Enkelkinder steht im Zentrum, professionelle stationäre Angebote werden kritisch gesehen. Gesundheitliche Dienstleistungen werden in Deutschland in Anspruch genommen, wenngleich der Türkei immer stärkere Kompetenzen zugesprochen werden.
