Selbstständige Migrantinnen und Migranten in wissensintensiven Dienstleistungsbranchen in Deutschland: Eine neue Nischenökonomie?

Abstract

In diesem Aufsatz wird anhand von 58 leitfadengestützten Interviews mit türkischstämmigen Selbstständigen untersucht, ob es für Migrantinnen und Migranten zeitversetzt bestimmte offene Märkte gibt, die den Weg in die Selbstständigkeit in Deutschland erleichtern. Während die ehemaligen Nischenmärkte der 1970er, in denen vor allem Lebensmittel für die eigenen Landsleute verkauft wurden, bereits gesättigt sind, ist seit den 1990er Jahren eine neue Nische im Bereich wissensintensiver Dienstleistungen entstanden, die bis heute besteht. Jedoch wird auch diese neue Nische in Zukunft besetzt sein und sich neue Gründungschancen für Personen mit Migrationshintergrund in ganz anderen Marktnischen eröffnen, wie beispielsweise im Bereich von kultursensiblen Versorgungsdienstleistungen für Migrantinnen und Migranten im Rentenalter.
