Gleichstellung ist Arbeit! Erfahrungen und Perspektiven der Gleichstellungsarbeit bei der Polizei

Abstract

Gleichstellungsbeauftragte begleiten und fördern die Chancengleichheit von Frauen und Männern im öffentlichen Dienst seit mehr als dreißig Jahren. Ihre Sichtweisen und Erfahrungen stehen im Zentrum dieser Studie, am Beispiel von Gleichstellungsbeauftragten der Polizei. Wie definieren sie Erfolg und Misserfolg? Welche Schwerpunkte sehen sie für die Zukunft? Wie kann die Arbeit der Gleichstellungsbeauftragten zukünftig (noch) wirkungsvoller gestaltet werden?.Darüber hinaus werden die gesetzlichen Grundlagen ihrer Arbeit im Hinblick auf die Durchsetzungsmöglichkeiten gleichstellungspolitischer Ziele miteinander verglichen. Außerdem wird die Unterstützung von Gleichstellungsbeauftragten durch die Gewerkschaft der Polizei untersucht.
