Konflikte um Investitionen in Land im Senegal

Abstract

Der Country Report beschäftigt sich mit der Ausweitung agrarindustrieller Projekte und industrieller Minen im Senegal und damit in Verbindung stehender Konflikte. Die Studie arbeitet die Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede von Konflikten im senegalesischen Bergbau- und Agrarsektor heraus. Der Country Report bietet zunächst einen Überblick über die wichtigsten agrarindustriellen und Bergbau-Projekte, die in den letzten Jahren im Senegal umgesetzt wurden. Anhand zweier Beispiele, dem Senhuile-Projekt und der Sabodala-Goldmine, zeigt der Bericht dann auf, welche Gegenstände in den Konflikten verhandelt werden; welche Akteure aktiv sind, welche Narrative und Protestformen sie einsetzen und wie sich die Konflikte im Bergbau und Agrarsektor voneinander unterscheiden. Dies ermöglicht ein tiefergehendes Verständnis von Konflikten um Land in verschiedenen Sektoren und bietet erste Ansatzpunkte dafür, wie sich zivilgesellschaftliches Engagement in den beiden Sektoren besser miteinander verknüpfen lässt.
