Dienstleistungen in der amtlichen Statistik

Abstract

Nahezu alle hochentwickelten Volkswirtschaften scheinen inzwischen den bereits vor Jahrzehnten von Vertretern der Dreisektoren-Hypothese prognostizierten Weg in die Dienstleistungsgesellschaft angetreten zu haben. In diesem Beitrag soll untersucht werden, inwieweit diese Entwicklung ihren Niederschlag in der Berichterstattung der amtlichen Statistik gefunden hat. Neben einer Darstellung der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Bedeutung von Dienstleistungen anhand einiger Indikatoren sowie des bisherigen Datenangebots und abzusehender Entwicklungstendenzen der amtlichen Dienstleistungsstatistik wird ausführlicher auf die Erfassung der im Produzierenden Gewerbe erbrachten Dienstleistungen eingegangen. Dabei wird aufgezeigt, daß die amtliche Statistik zumindest in diesem Bereich auch in Zukunft hinter den zum Teil selbst formulierten Erwartungen zurückbleiben wird.
