Suomen maksutase 1914-1939: Taloushistoriallinen katsaus ja tilastot

Abstract

Tässä tutkimuksessa konstruoidaan Suomen maksutasetta kuvaavat tilastot vuosille 1914 1939.Suomen maksutaseesta ei esillä olevalta ajalta ole olemassa aiempia julkaistuja kokonaistutkimuksia.Vaihtotaseen alaerinä esitetään vanhastaan käytössä olleen tavarakaupan lisäksi palveluiden kauppa, pääomakorvaukset, sekä vaihtotaseen muut erät.Rahoitustaseessa alaerinä ovat ulkomaiset lainat, suorat sijoitukset, sekä muu pääoma.Tutkimuksessa muun pääoman erä on saatu residuaalina, kun yleistase asetetaan yhtä suureksi valuuttavarannon muutoksen kanssa.Tutkimuksessa esitetään uudet markkina-arvoiset tiedot Suomen Pankin valuuttavarannosta ja sen muutoksista.Tämä tutkimus tarkentaa kuvaa Suomen ulkoisesta asemasta ensimmäisen maailmansodan vuosina ja sotien välisellä kaudella.Uutta tietoa saadaan suorista ulkomaisista sijoituksista, keskuspankin valuuttavarannosta ja ulkomaisten lainojen rasitteesta kansantaloudelle.
