Käteisrahan kysyntä Suomessa 1992

Abstract

Raportti on osa Suomen Pankin Maksuvälineprojektia, jonka tuloksia on aiemmin kommentoitu Suomen Pankin julkaisussa A:87. Kirjoittaja toimi Maksuvälineprojektissa täysipäiväisenä tutkimus avustaj ana. Raportti on aikaisemmin hyväksytty lähes samassa muodossa pro gradu työnä Joensuun yliopistossa. Raportti käsittelee erilaisten sosioekonomisten tekijöiden vaikutusta käteisrahan kysyntään. Näitä ovat ikä, sukupuoli, tulotaso, koulutus ja varallisuus. Kun sosioekonomisissa tekijöissä tapahtuu muutoksia, myös rahan kysyntä muuttuu. Tehtäessä kansainvälisiä vertailuja käteisrahan kysynnästä on kotitalouksien yli aggregoitaessa huomioitava väestön jakautuminen .sukupuolen mukaan, sekä talouden ikärakenne kussakin maassa, varsinkin jos niissä on huomattavia eroja maiden välillä. Tulevaisuudessa olisi .mielenkiintoista tutkia tapojen, tottumusten ja asenteiden vaikutusta maksuvälineen valintaan.
