Rahoitushistoriallinen bibliografia: Kirjallisuutta ja tilastoja

Abstract

Suomen Pankissa toimi touko-syyskuussa 1989 esitutkimusprojekti, jonka tavoitteena oli selvittää mitä rahoitusmarkkinatilastoja olisi saatavissa tai konstruoitavissa Suomesta vuosilta 1860 - 1980. Esitutkimusprojektin kysymyksenasettelu ja tulokset on julkaistu erillisenä raporttina (Ikonen, Vappu - Pihkala, Erkki, Katsaus Suomen rahoitusmarkkinoiden lähteisiin 1860-luvulta nykypäivään, Suomen Pankin tutkimusosasto 1989). Esitutkimusprojektin yhteydessä syntyi rahahistoriallinen bibliografia, joka jakautuu rahahistoriaa koskeviin tutkimuksiin ja artikkeleihin sekä tilastojulkaisuihin. Tärkeimpinä lähteinä bibliografiaa koottaessa olivat Suomen historiallinen bibliografia vuosilta 1926 - 1930, tutkimuslaitosten julkaisuluettelot sekä aikakauskirjojen indeksit. Tavoitteena on ollut kerätä nimenomaan rahahistoriallista kirjallisuutta ja niinpä kaikkein uusimpia bibliografioita ei ole käyty läpi, samoin kuin ei jo valmiiksi taloustieteellistä tutkimusta kartoittavia bibliografioita (mm. vuosilta 1960 - 1972 on ilmestynyt erillinen taloustieteellistä kirjailisuutta koskeva 5-osainen bibliografia, jota ei ole käyty läpi).
