Abstract

Tässä tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan rahoituksen välitystä ja erityisesti rahoituslaitoksia viimeaikaisen teoreettisen ki,rjallisuuden valossa. Aluksi dokumentoidaan rahoitusjärjestelmän keskeiset piirteet Suomessa ja eräissä muissa maissa kiinittäen erityishuomiota rahoituslaitosten rooliin rahoituksen kanavoijana. Tämän jälkeen tarkastellaan alustavasti syitä, joiden perusteella rahoituslaitokset voisivat olla tehokas tapa kanavoida rahoitusta talousyksiköltä toiselle.
