Capitale sociale e sviluppo economico
Abstract
Negli anni novanta si è diffusa nelle scienze sociali l’idea che la crescita non sia determinata soltanto da fattori di carattere economico, quali il capitale naturale, il capitale fisico e il capitale umano, ma anche dal tessuto sociale e istituzionale dell’economia. Gli aspetti della struttura sociale in grado di influenzare il rendimento dell’economia sono sempre più spesso raccolti sotto la comune etichetta del capitale sociale. La prima parte di questo lavoro contiene un’introduzione al concetto di capitale sociale e una rassegna critica delle definizioni adottate nella letteratura. Nella seconda parte sono descritte alcune ipotesi teoriche sulla relazione (biunivoca) tra capitale sociale e sviluppo economico, e sono presentati i risultati delle verifiche empiriche più significative. Dalla rassegna emerge il carattere multidimensionale, situazionale e dinamico del capitale sociale. Le sue diverse componenti possono esercitare effetti contrastanti sul comportamento individuale, sui processi produttivi e, più in generale, sullo sviluppo economico e sociale.Download Info
