Abstract

This paper focuses on the potential of information and communication networks for regional development. Particular attention will be given to the role of the telematics sector in the policy for peripheral areas. The critical success factors of this high tech sector will be analyzed by means of the so-called Pentagon model and will be illustrated by a Greek case study. This is not only a Greek case but also a test case.
