Abstract

La culture a toujours eu des liens avec l'intangible, mais la révolution numérique rend ces liens d'autant plus prégnants. Les professionnels des industries culturelles comme les législateurs doivent prendre en compte cette nouvelle dimension. Une approche historique de ces évolutions permet de dégager les caractéristiques des biens numériques, et ainsi de discuter du prix de la culture. La dématérialisation change les pratiques de reproduction et de stockage, notamment dans le domaine audiovisuel :la production a moins de valeur que la distribution. Pour quels effets sur l'économie du secteur ?Comment et à quelle échelle légiférer ?Le monde des médias parce qu'il subit aussi les conséquences d'un mouvement général de suspicion à son égard, est confronté à la double problématique de sa valeur économique et de sa valeur sociale. Pour conclure cet aperçu sur la valeur des industries culturelles traditionnelles dans l'univers numérique, quatre personnalités aux profils différents donnent leur avis sur ces évolutions.
