Gobernabilidad Macroeconómica Desarrollo Institucional y Crecimiento Económico: Una revisión de Literatura a la Luz de la Experiencia Latinoamericana

Abstract

En este trabajo se busca revisar un conjunto de desafíos de economía política que existen para la política macroeconómica. El objetivo es delinear una agenda de discusión de políticas públicas que conduzca a una más fácil y sustentable aplicación de políticas macroeconomicas óptimas. A través de las diferentes secciones de este ensayo mostramos que existen un conjunto relativamente amplio de desafíos para el diseño institucional cuyas respuestas óptimas pueden cambiar de país en país. Lo que tienen en común los países latinoamericanos es que habiendo superado ciertas etapas básicas de instituciones y consensos macroeconómicos de “primera generación”, necesitan enfrentar un conjunto de dificultades de economía política relativamente sutil aunque amplio con el objeto de lograr asentar sus instituciones macroeconómicas y lograr reducir la volatilidad de sus economías.
