Abstract

El empleo en la distribución comercial ha sido un tema estudiado de forma superficial y con escasa apoyatura empírica. Dentro del comercio, el análisis del empleo en cada una de las manifestaciones de la actividad comercial ha sido escaso y controvertido. En este contexto, el trabajo pretende reflejar las características y los factores que explican la situación del empleo en la distribución comercial española combinando la aportación empírica con la interpretación teórica de las raíces y causas de su configuración. Asimismo, la investigación profundiza en los tipos de empleo existentes en la distribución comercial española según rama de actividad, con el objetivo de contribuir a esclarecer la importancia de cada tipo de comercio en términos de empleo.
