Finance Management of Credit Unions in Poland

Abstract

Finance management of credit unions constitutes one of the fields of management of these financial institutions. The credit unions that are present now in Poland reappeared in 1992, so a few years after the process of system transformation had begun. In his text, the author presents the creation and development of credit unions on the territory of Poland, as well as the essence of finance management of credit unions together with its features. What is more, the author discusses in detail financial and investment decisions taken by credit unions (îthe lower levelî) and by the National Credit Union (îthe higher levelî). The decisions enumerated are characterised by a specified nature as compared to the decisions taken by other traders operating on the Polish market of financial services.
