Abstract

Doctor I. Koznova, Senior Researcher of the Institute of Philosophy, Russian Academy of Sciences, belonged to the Center for International Research on the Japanese Economy (CIRJE), Faculty of Economics, University of Tokyo as a short-term visitor for the period from 30 October till 7 November 2002, in order to collaborate with Professor H. Okuda on the research of the history of the Russian peasantry in the 20th century. During her stay in Japan, Russian and Japanese specialists, listed below, held the Conference on the history of the Russian Peasantry in the 20th century, which took place on 31 October at Faculty of Economics, University of Tokyo, and on 1-3 November at Fuji Educational House in Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture. This pamphlet is a collection of all the reports then presented to this Conference. Russian participants in the Conference were as follows: Kornilov, Gennadii Egorovich(Senior researcher, Institute of History and Archaeology, Ural division, Russian Academy of Sciences, Ekaterinburg), author of the article, "Foundation of the Food Security System for the Nation in the First Half of the 20th Century", Koznova, Irina Evgen'evna(Senior researcher, Institute of Philosophy, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow), author of the article, "Peasant Memory in 20th century Russia", Kondrashin, Viktor Viktorovich(Professor, Faculty of History, Penza State Pedagogical University, Penza), author of the article, "Famine in 1932-1933 in the Russian and Foreign Historiography: Some Preliminary Notes".
