Abstract

Om end Ivar Jantzen, hvad økonomisk teori angår, mest er kendt for sine bidrag til forståelsen af omkostningsfunktionen, indeholdt hans forfatterskab også vis-se tiltag af et mere makroøkonomisk tilsnit. Her beskæftigede Jantzen sig med, hvad man med en nutidig sprogbrug ville benævne indkomstdannelsesteori. Med sit matematisk-tekniske udgangspunkt forsøgte han at formalisere det økonomiske kredsløb for en åben økonomi med fokus på, hvorledes national-indkomsten kunne maksimeres givet dels ledige ressourcer dels mangel på fremmed valuta. Bl.a. beskrev han heri, hvorledes multiplikatorprocessen kan forløbe, ligesom han opstillede nogle centrale eksportmultiplikatorsammen-hænge.
