Abstract

Рассматриваются важнейшие направления развития WEB-технологий, которые в последние годы, в значительной мере стимулируются работами по созданию электронных библиотек (Digital Libryries). Эта тема является весьма актуальной, поскольку WEB-технологии стати все более широко использоваться для поддержки научных исследований и для обеспечения интеграции мирового научного сообщества. В отчете обсуждаются, в частности, подходы к интеграции информационных ресурсов в WEB, модели данных и архитектуры, обеспечивающие интеграцию средств поддержки метаданных в этой среде, новые функциональные возможности,обеспечиваемые благодаря недавно принятому WWW стандарту расширяемого языка разметки XML и развитию его инфраструктуры, динамизация ресурсов WEB с помощью JAVA-аплетов, новые подходы к интеграции технологий баз данных и WEB-технологий. Рассмотренные в отчете подходы и технологии предполагается использовать в работах по развитию WEB-сайта ИПР РАН, проводимых в лаборатории при частичной поддержке РГНФ (проект 96-02-12016).
