Abstract

The relevance of the research is determined by the increasing importance of professional qualities of an individual, ensuring quick and successful labor adaptation, in connection with the situation of production restructuring, including those due to a change in technological priorities in several industries and the import substitution strategy, as well as instability of regional labor markets. The object of observation is working practices - both individual events and features of the educational process as a whole – aimed at ensuring successful labor adaptation of graduates of vocational educational organizations. The purpose of the research is to identify the practices of vocational educational organizations aimed at ensuring successful labor adaptation of graduates and assessing its effectiveness on the part of the management of these organizations, as well as the attitude of managers to the task of developing key competencies of graduates as a resource for labor adaptation. The research tool is an unstructured interview. Main results. A contradiction was identified between the need for regular labor adaptation in connection with both a change of workplace and fundamental changes in the conditions and requirements for the occupied workplace and the position of the management of vocational educational organizations, whose representatives see their task in employing a graduate and facilitating his/her retention in the workplace, and not in the formation of a personal resource for his/her successful adaptation. Employees of vocational education and training (VET) organizations share the idea that the basic components of the personal resource for labor adaptation are universal competencies in the field of communication, working with information and problem solving, but these ideas in most cases are not implemented in educational activities. At the same time, it was possible to identify and describe the practices of individual VETs that ensure the formation of a personal resource for labor adaptation, which can be recommended for dissemination. Scientific novelty. Based on a survey of the management of VET organizations, current practices in preparing young people studying in VET programs for the process of labor adaptation are described and analyzed; in the aggregate of which practices are identified which allow the formation of a set of qualities that are a personal resource for labor adaptation. Recommendations. The results obtained make it possible to adjust the target orientation and update the processes of preparing graduates for the process of labor adaptation using the practices of educational organizations that are adequate to the purpose. The results of the study can be used by federal and regional educational authorities to set tasks for professional educational organizations and vocational education and training organizations in terms of selecting means to solve the problem of forming a personal resource for labor adaptation.
