Abstract

One of the reasons why the popularization of ideas of critical thinking in Russia is not very fast, is that it is rather problematic to find a clear definition of this concept. Of course, it is unlikely that we will find in modern science such a concept that would not cause discussion, would not be considered a construct composed of terms and hypotheses, which themselves in turn depend on the chosen theoretical framework or their combinations. But in the case of critical thinking, this problem is supplemented by a number of circumstances that must be taken into account in all attempts to determine the essence of critical thinking.
