Abstract

Conflicts and disputes related to land occur in the North Caucasus with great regularity. This is especially true of those republics in which there live many people. These conflicts are dangerous because they relate to international relations, refers to the historical memory of the people and groups that inhabit some territories. At the same time the legal status of the land is not defined, which means investors in the region will come with great caution. Currently the state has no stated position on land issues and can not offer policies to solve such problems. At the same time, the land conflicts are a major cause of general tension, including ethnic, in the North Caucasus. This implies, for example, of those who raised the nationalist organizations in the 90th and now. If then it was the representation of various "nationalities" in government and in high places, now is mainly due to dissatisfaction with the land. Land was responsible for a large part of the demonstrations and clashes in the North Caucasus in recent years. All public relations in one way or another are under the negative impact of land problems. The objective of this work is to describe the mechanisms of conflict in the North Caucasus, determine their causes and consequences and offer a way out of the current crisis.
