Investment policy of a region in the context of economic instability: basic trends and risks

Abstract

As exemplified by old industrial regions of Ural the authors consider basic trends and specific risks of regional investment policy in the context of up-to-date crisis phenomena. Investment process is presented as a complicated system consisting of several elements each of which has its own laws of development. The authors show changes of significance of national and regional factors of investment process and also essential differences of forming synergy of development in the context of high growth and crisis instability. The problem of optimizing regional investment policy in several interrelated directions is considered.
