Commitment versus Präemption: zum Wesen der Initiative

Abstract

Dieser Beitrag untersucht den Begriff der Initiative in Strategie und operativer Kunst aus spieltheoretischer Perspektive. Wir modellieren dazu den Unterschied zwischen den beiden Wirkmechanismen der Initiative: der Einflussnahme auf gegnerisches Verhalten zum einen und der Beschneidung der gegnerischen Möglichkeiten zum anderen. Ein einfaches Cournot-Dyopol dient zur Illustration des Grundgedankens. Dieser wird dann auf die Gesamtheit der 78 verschiedenen strikt ordinalen 2 2- Spiele übertragen. Gemeinsam mit einem Gegenbeispiel in Form eines strikt ordinalen 2 3-Spiels wird so verdeutlicht, dass und wie sich die beiden Formen der Initiative analytisch unterscheiden.
