Considerations on The Fundaments of Psychology

The history of sciences has emphasized the fact that each science passes through many phases or stages which can be reduced to the following five: 1) the pre-scientific phase; 2) the constitution phase; 3) methodological improvement and expansion of the research domain; 4) the methodological crisis phase and 5) the substantiation phase. Their time spans might vary, from millennia to centuries and decades. Leaving aside the presumed extinct superior civilizations, with accidentally discovered traces that reflect knowledge considered to be superior to the present one, it is clear that all the ancient sciences, the Roman-Greek sciences, suffered a serious blow during the migrations period, which leads to the need of their “revival”, rediscovering or reinvention. This means the non-identical multiple repetitions of some of sciences’ development stages. This, of course, happens in certain areas, because in other areas there is the possibility of some sciences and the people that cultivated them to become extinct or to decline. Political or religious interdictions can be added to this.
