Abstract

Mult timp, crezul stiintific in medicina a fost ca studiile histologice vor demonstra o baza anatomica pentru toate asa- numitele tulburari functionale. In prezent, se considera ca in multe dintre cazuri, o cercetare amanuntita a istoricului pacientului, ar putea dezvalui originile tulburarilor functionale timpurii, inainte ca acestea sa produca modificari organice detectabile histologic. Rezistenta la aceasta idee se bazeaza pe dogma eronata conform careia, functia perturbata este intotdeauna rezultatul unei structuri afectate si al unei neglijari a secventei cauzale inverse.
