Abstract

Social responsibility is a concept whereby a company voluntarily integrate concerns about social and environmental issues in business operations and interaction with their stakeholders. To be successful, a banking institution must ensure both its own development, and the community in which they operate. Trust and respect customers affect the entire business of a bank, which is why it must adapt to their increasingly complex needs. By integrating social responsibility in strategic and operational management, banks will have a positive impact on society and environment and at the same time will increase their reputation, not only preoccupied with short-term profit-driven, but also their position in the future.
