Abstract

중국의 해외투자가 M&A를 중심으로 확대되고 있다. UNCTAD 글로벌 해외 투자 통계에 따르면, 중국의 해외 M&A는 그린필드에 비해 상대적으로 급속한 증가세를 보였다. 2016년 중국의 해외 M&A는 2007년 대비 60배 증가한 922억 달러로 사상 최고치를 기록한 바 있다. 이 같은 팽창세에 힘입어 글로벌 국경간 M&A에서 차지하는 중국의 비중도 크게 확대되어 2017년에는 그 비중이 18.9%에 달하며 세계 제1위 M&A 실행국으로 부상하였다. China’s overseas investment is expanding, led by M&As. According to the UNCTAD World Investment Report, Chinese overseas M&A has been growing rapidly compared to greenfield investment. In 2016, Chinese overseas M&A reached a record high of US$92.2 billion, a 60 fold increase from 2007. As a result of the expansion, China’s share of global cross-border M&As also expanded significantly, reaching 18.9% in 2017, making it the world’s leader in M&A execution.
