Abstract

Este ensayo analiza el trasfondo histórico y las condiciones actuales en relación con la crisis económica de Venezuela, concentrándose en los aspectos monetarios y financieros. Tiene como objetivo asistir en recomendaciones para implementar reformas monetarias apropiadas, como la creación de una junta monetaria ortodoxa o la dolarización oficial. El ensayo aborda preguntas críticas con respecto a estas reformas monetarias, además de las reformas económicas correspondientes que mejoren la economía aquejado de Venezuela en el futuro cercano. Este ensayo fue publicado originalmente en Septiembre de 2016 en inglés como el Documento de Trabajo No. 62 en la serie de los Estudios en Economía Aplicada.
