Abstract

What is the secret of entrepreneurial success? How to succeed? How to become Rockefeller? The economists formulate two kinds of answer for these questions. For the firsts, the success is a problem of individuals and the result of an unremitting work in a society which (of course) guarantees the freedom of undertaking. For the others, the entrepreneur is the result of an economic and social dynamic. The entrepreneur takes advantage of the opportunities of the market. Theses opportunities are : freedom of undertaking, technological and scientific progress, public policy, urbanisation, industrialisation… We will try to demonstrate it by analysing of some biographical extracts.
