Abstract

Technology is present to facilitate activities carried out by its users. In the application in agriculture, especially the mechanization of rice cultivation, it is well known that technology can also reduce the loss of production and provide economic effects because it reduces the value of production inputs. This survey was conducted to determine the economic effects of the use of agricultural mechanization in one of the rice fields of the Gedebage River Cinambo. Interview method was used with 8 questions asked to farmers using agricultural mechanization technology. The results of the interview showed that in one of the paddy fields the tractor and thresher were used. Tractors are able to expand the coverage of land that can be processed, ie from 0.1 ha / day to 0.7 ha / day. Rontog decreases production loss. It was concluded that the application of mechanization of agriculture in paddy fields could provide economic effects both in terms of time and material.
