Imprumuturile neperformante - o amenintare la adresa stabilitatii sistemului financiar - bancar
[Non performing loans - a threat for the financial and banking system]

Abstract

The emerging markets and the markets in general are forced to aggresively adjust their strategies and policies in order to cope with the current challenges and ensure that conditions are met for medium and long term sustainable growth. The decrease of market value in case of financial institutions is a reflection of investors’ sentiment with respect to the amount of short term efforts for adjusting the business model to properly address the slow economic growth, low interest rates environment and tougher legal and procedural framework. Within this big picture the portfolio quality generates a lot of concern for all the involved parties – national and regional authorities, clients and investors.
