Abstract

Following the outbreak of global economic crisis, firms have had to realize that competitive advantage is one of the tools to ensure their long-term success in the market and that it also helps to eliminate the impacts of such crisis. Enterprises are, as a result of crisis, forced to find new skills and capabilities within their business activities to ensure their unique and inimitable competitive advantage, thereby contributing to the economic and social development of Slovak Republic. The aim of this contribution is to substantially point at building competitive advantage in a business environment that is constantly changing and developing.
