Abstract

Over recent years, it appears that poverty (World Bank figure it in living on less than $1.25) has been declining. In fact, most of this information is defended by the statistics. It's something that, at first glance, seems to happen. But is it really so? The growth of gross domestic product and other absolute variables has served as a parapet to the first world to demonstrate that the policies implemented are correct and should be maintained. I've done a little analysis on other variables that should be considered in certain countries. I have chosen a random number of countries. I analyze mainly Germany, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Argentina, Afghanistan, Colombia and Spain.
