Abstract

To fight against the spread of the Covid pandemic, the authorities have taken certain measures, including the closing of borders, the abolition of flights and many others to prevent the movement of people who may be carrying the virus. These measures had a negative impact on the economy in general and on the exchange rate in particular. Being a country too dependent on imports, which requires foreign currency, the abolition of flights and the reduction of our exporters as a source of foreign currency entry, the supply of foreign currency to fall, thus causing an increase in the price, therefore in the exchange rate. Keywords: exchange rate, covid 19
