Abstract

This is a chapter in the book "Europe in my profession", published by the Bulgarian European Studies Association within the framework of a project of the same name under the Jean Monnet program. The new requirements for students trained to serve international trade are reviewed. The challenges to their training are related to the assimilation of the uniform regulation of foreign trade within the framework of the customs union and the common trade policy of the EU, as well as to the digitalization of the customs service and the introduction of approved economic operators.
