Abstract

The solidarity economy is presented as an alternative production model of cooperation between its members, a factor that provides it with the possibility of social inclusion, self-management in the projects, income generation and improvement of life quality, and can be directly linked to the place. This paper seeks to propose a series of issues regarding the formulation of public policies that have influenced the solidarity economy in Corumbá/MS. In order to accomplish so, we conducted a literature and documental search to perceive reality and the theory of public policy, solidarity economy and tourism, which is directly linked to the solidarity economy in the municipality. In the end, we could notice the absence of a specific public policy for entrepreneurship in Corumbá and the discontinuity and disconnection in formulating public policies.
