Abstract

Neste artigo continuo a tratar alguns dos aspetos essenciais na escrita e publicação de artigos académicos em Administração e, especificamente, a construção de hipóteses. O objectivo continua a ser proporcionar um conjunto de sugestões e dicas para melhorar o manuscrito com vista a melhores publicações em periódicos nacionais e estrangeiros. Todos os artigos têm uma componente de desenvolvimento conceitual onde o autor avança com as suas novas propostas e análises que materializa num conjunto de hipóteses (em artigos empíricos) ou proposições (em artigos conceituais). Neste artigo foco na explicação do que são efectivamente hipóteses e proposições e proponho um pequeno exercício que o autor pode utilizar para verificar a coerência do seu modelo. Este exercício, que recebe dos ensinamentos de David Whetten (recomendo ler o artigo de 1989), pode ser usado nas aulas com alunos de Mestrado e Doutorado.
