Abstract

This Interim IRBD report of the CPD focuses primarily on the assessment of the performance of major macroeconomic indicators during July-December of the FY2009-10. It presents an analysis of the performance of the major macroeconomic indicators for the first few months of FY2009-10; identifies the strengths and weaknesses that emerged from this assessment; and attempts to flag some of the emerging challenges that will need to be addressed by the policymakers if near and medium term targets in key sectors of the economy are to be attained.
