On Second-Order Optimality Conditions in Smooth Nonlinear Programming Problems

Abstract

The aim of the present paper is to give an overview of the basic facts concerning second-order optimality conditions (necessary and su¢ cient) for a nonlinear programming problem under twice continuous differentiability assumptions. Some remarks and some new propositions are pointed out.
