Kain Tenun Ikat Tradisional Sebagai Kearifan Local Masyarakat Desa Tumbur Kabupaten Kepulauan Tanimbar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang tenun ikat sebagai kearifan local masyarakat desa tumbur sekaligus dapat mengetahui tentang nilai dari tenun ikat dalam kehidupan masyarakat adat desa tumbur. Masyarakat lokal yang hidup seimbang berdampingan dengan alam memiliki pengetahuan yang diwariskan turun-temurun tentang bagaimana memenuhi kebutuhan hidup tanpa merusak alam. Kearifan tradisional yang bersifat lokal sesuai dengan daerahnya masing-masing merupakan salah satu warisan budaya yang ada di masyarakat desa tumbur dan berlaku secara turun-temurun dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat desa tumbur. Kain tenun ikat tradisional dalam prespektif masyarakat desa tumbur merupakan warisan kebudayaan dan dijadikan sebagai pemenuhan ekonomi serta kain tenun ikat tradisional juga sangat memberikan kontribusi bagi masyarakat setempat yang berfungsi untuk pembayaran harta kawin, penyelesaian adat ketika terjadi konflik ditengah masyarakat serta kain tenun juga dijadikan sebagai sofenir bagi para tamu yang hendak berkunjung ke desa tumbur.
