Abstract

Oganisasi dapat didefiniskan sebagai sebagai wadah tempat di mana dua orang atau lebih bekerja sama secara terstruktur untuk mencapai tujuan, maka dapat dipastikan bahwa tanpa tujuan tidak perlu ada organisasi. Tujuan organisasi bermacam-macam, tergantung dari banyaknya pihak yang berkepentingan (stakeholders) dengan kehadiran organisasi itu. Pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan itu antara lain, terdiri atas para pemegang saham, karyawan, pemasok, pemakai, pemerintah, dan masyarakat. Tujuan organisasi bagi pemegang saham adalah untuk meningkatkan keuntungan. Bagi konsumen adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan, bagi masyarakat adalah untuk meningkatkan rasa tanggung jawab kepada masyarakat, dan bagi pemerintah adalah untuk meningkatkan penerimaan pajak. Bagi karyawan adalah untuk meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karyawan agar pada gilirannya dapat meningkatkan prestasi kerja karyawan dan juga kinerja organisasi.
