Abstract

Masalah ketimpangan Pendapatan merupahkan bagian yang penting dalam mengukur pembangunan ekonomi, alasannya karena dengan naiknya distribusi pendapatan maka akan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan ekonomi. Hal ini disesuaikan dengan pendapat oleh Sukirno (2000, hal.5) bahwa pembangunan ekonomi adalah merupakan proses yang menyebabkan pendapatan per kapita masyarakat meningkat dalam jangka panjang. Namun permasalahan yang dihadapi saat ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam distribusi pendapatan yang terjadi, bahwa hanya 20% penduduk yang memiliki distribusi pendapatan yang tinggi, sedangkan 80% bagi penduduk yang menengah ke bawah ( Ahlwuwalia, 1997 ) Melihat tingkat presentasi ketimpangan pendapatan, maka terdapat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi. Hal ini dilakukan oleh P. Estudillo (1991) yang menentukan bahwa Populasi,upah tenaga kerja, Pendapatan domestic Oregional Brotu, dan pendapatan daerah berpengaruh terhadap Pendapatan. Lebih lanjut kajian yang dilakukan oleh Adrian Coto (2006) yang menemukan pertumbuhan ekonomi, kontribusi sektor industry dan upah minimum tenaga kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan.
