Menganalisis Industri dan Para Pesaing

Abstract

Analisis industri dan pesaing perlu dilakukan sebelum melakukan pendirian suatu usaha, hal ini dilakukan agar pengusaha dapat mengetahui dan mendapatkan gambaran mengenai bagaimana keadaan situasi industri dan persaingan dari usaha sejenis pada masa tersebut dan juga di masa datang. Pesaing adalah perusahaan yang menghasilkan atau menjual barang atau jasa yang sama atau mirip dengan produk yang kita tawarkan. Pesaing suatu perusahaan dapat dikategorikan pesaing yang kuat dan pesaing yang lemah atau ada pesaing yang dekat yang memiliki produk yang sama atau memiliki produk yang mirip. Persaingan ada 2 jenis, yaitu pesaing dekat dan pesaing jauh. Pesaing dekat adalah perusahaan yang memproduksi barang yang hamir sejenis, seperti bank umum, BPR, bank syariah, atau bank asing. Pesaing jauh adalah perusahaan yang memiliki produk yang mirip. Contohnya pesaing untuk bank adalah lembaga keuangan yang kegiatannya memiliki kesamaan dengan bank seperti asuransi, pos giro, pegadaian, koperasi simpan pinjam, leasing, money changer, atau dana pensiun.
