Analisis Kesehatan Bank Dengan Metode CAMEL

Abstract

Kesehatan bank merupakan gambaran kondisi kinerja bank sehingga dapat menjadikan media pengawasan terhadap bank. Kesehatan bank berfungsi sebagai informasi bagi kepentingan semua pihak terkait baik pemilik, pengelola (manajemen), dan masyarakat pengguna bank. Penilaian kesehatan bank dapat dilakukan dengan pendekatan berdasarkan resiko dan menyesuaikan faktor-faktor penilaian tingkat kesehatan bank. Industri perbankan yang sehat sangat dibutuhkan dalam sebuah negara termasuk Indonesia, karena dengan adanya industri perbankan yang sehat, fungsi bank dapat berjalan dengan baik yang akhirnya dapat berdampak positif terhadap perekonomian negara. Bank merupakan suatu lembaga yang mendapatkan izin untuk mengarahkan dana yang berasal dari masyarakat berupa simpanan dan menyalurkan dana kepada masyarakat yang berupa pinjaman, sehingga bank berfungsi sebagai alat untuk menghimpun dan menyalurkan dana kepada masyarakat. Masyarakat pada umumnya memerlukan adanya mekanisme yang dapat dijadikan perantara penyaluran tabungan dari penabung ke investor, berdasarkan kesepakatan mengenai pembayaran dan pelunasannya.
