Abstract

Baitul maal sebagai pelopor lembaga keuangan yang dimulai sejak kepemimpinan nabi Muhammad SAW dalam Lembaga ini menjalankan system dan peneggakan serta pengendalian keuangan negara dari penerimaan hingga pengeluaran sampai dapat dirasakan oleh umat islam. Dalam Baitul maal terjadi penerimaan negara yang bersumber dari harta ghanimah, zakat, infak dan shadaqah dan pengeluaran yang di distribusikan untuk kebutuhan negara baik dalam bidang ekonomi, social, politik dan budaya. Eksistensi Lembaga tersebut sangat penting pada masa nabi Muhammad saw sampai pada masa pemerintahan islam dan seterusnya karena ini menjadi sebuah factor pendukung keberlangsungan lahirnya islam dan penyebarannya. Regulasi dan system Baitul maal dilaksanakan seadilan-adilnya dan system yang dilaksanakan setiap pemimpinnya berbeda sebagaimana pada masa khulafaur rasyidin dalam penerimaan dan distribusi harta Baitul maal ini. Maka disini penulis bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan memaparkan eksistensi dan perkembangan Baitul maal pada masa pemerintahan islam khulafaur rasyidin dengan metode penelitian tinjaun literatur dan mengulas kembali peneliti terdahulu.
